Hello, I purchased the firewall pad from you and thanks again for the quality! I have a question for you. If I do a vent window conversion on my 1984 4 runner which has the full windows with power window option can I convert to vent windows and still use my original door panels or would they have to be butchered to use? Thanks!!
It depends on the door panel style. On most, you’ll just have to modify the trim strip along the top edge. I’ve seen an early model SR5 panel which was actually metal on the top section and would not have worked. Keep in mind the vent window doors have the mirror in a different location, otherwise the wing windows will hit the mirror when you open them.
